LG Announces Wine Smart Flip Smartphone
After Samsung, LG is the new company to launch an entry-level clamshell smartphone in Korea. Named as Wine Smart, it has a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. It comes with Kakao Talk messenger with a dedicated launch key for the app, T9 keypad and high-power 1W speaker that would the best output even in noisy audio environment. It is 16.9mm thick and weighs 140.8 grams.
It also has a new safe keeper feature aimed at elderly users. This would automatically automatically send the location information or call the emergency number when the phone is unused for a long time. It has a tiny LED notification light on the outside that would offer notification for missed calls, text messages and more.
It has 1GB RAM, 4GB of internal storage with expansion slot and packs a 1700 mAh battery. It has 4G LTE connectivity and comes the usual set of connectivity features such as WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. The LG Wine Smart comes in black and white colors and would go on sale in South Korea starting September 26th. No word on pricing or availability outside Korea.
LG G Watch R Goes Official
LG has finally made its G Watch R, the company’s latest Android Wear smartwatch with a circular display official. It is the world’s first watch-style wearable device to feature a circular Plastic OLED (P-OLED) display and utilizes 100 percent of its watch face, says the company. The Motorola Moto 360 has a black bar at the bottom of the display.
It has a 1.3-inch (320 x 320 pixels) P-OLED Display compared to 1.65-inch (280 x 280 pixels) LCD display on the G Watch. It even has a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor to measure heartbeats. It has durable stainless steel frame and has interchangeable 22mm calf skin leather strap.
Other specifications are similar to the first G Watch, including a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 SoC, 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. It is dust and water resistant and can stay in water up to meter deep for 30 minutes and packs a 410mAh battery.

LG is set to launch a new affordable Android KitKat smartphone called the LG L60 Dual. The smartphone is priced at Rs 9,000, and has been quietly listed on the company’s website. It was first spotted by FoneArena.
As far as specifications are concerned, the LG L60 Dual sports a 4.3-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM. The smartphone also features a 5-megapixel rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 4GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, and a 1,700mAh battery.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and on the software front it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. The LG L60 Dual will be up against other Android KitKat smartphones like the Xolo Q1101 which too is similarly priced and offers more in terms of specifications and features than the L60.
