Nokia and Bharti Airtel will launch an
exclusive version of the Nokia Xpress browser in India, which will
feature access to Airtel's premium services and popular content. Like other versions of the Nokia Browser, the Xpress version which we first saw on the recently released Nokia 114 dual-SIM phone, compresses data in the cloud to ensure a smoother browsing experience on low bandwidth connections.
The Nokia Xpress browser claims up to 85
percent increase in efficiency when compared to the traditional mobile
browser. It also claims to make the browsing experience faster and
cheaper, which means that your data charge will be less. Along with speed, the browser will
optimize websites for use on the S40 and Asha devices. The browser will
be made available to users in the coming weeks and Nokia-Airtel users
will receive an automatic upgrade.
