Bangalore based health management services company GetActive has launched the new personal health and activity tracker called GetActive tapp. The wearable device is similar to other fitness trackers and will track daily activity like steps taken, calories burnt, time spent in the day and distance covered in kilometres. It can connect to smartphone with Bluetooth LE and then transfer the data from the device to the smartphone. The app for smartphones is now available for iOS and Android.

Another feature of GetActive Tapp is that you can accumulate points for each step you take with the device which can be later redeemed at the partner sites. As of now there is no information on the partner sites. The wearable device follows WHO guidelines to benchmark activity levels as per the company. The device comes with a 110mAh battery and would last for a good 4-5 days according to the company. The device is priced at Rs 4999 and will be available next month. You can buy it from Myntra or the company’s official website.

2mpower Health Management Services, the company behind this fitness tracker has got funding from Chairman of Manipal Global Education Services TV Mohandas Pai and former Infosys CTO Sharad Hegde. The device will have competition from other Indian players like GoQii which launched their fitness tracker recently in India.
