Indian PC Market Grows by 17 % in Second Quarter of 2012

According to research firm Gartner, the Indian PC market has registered a 17 percent growth in the second quarter this year as compared to second quarter in 2011. Gartner says India's combined desk-based and mobile PC market totalled around 2.9 million units in the second quarter.

According to Vishal Tripathi, principal research analyst at Gartner, the consumer growth has been primarily driven by entry-level products. HP, Lenovo, Asus and Samsung have posted more than 50 percent growth in the consumer growth segment, while Ultrabooks haven't yet had much impact in the market. “However, with the availability of the new Intel processor and declining price points, we expect adoption to increase in coming quarters,” adds Vishal Tripathi.

Gartner is expected the PC shipment growth to continue in the third quarter of this year due to the festive season and some orders from the Tamil Nadu government. Mobile PCs, which grew 54 percent compared to the second quarter of 2011, helped drive overall market growth. Full information is available in the Gartner report "Quarterly Statistics: Personal Computers, Asia/Pacific, 2Q 12 Update”.

Google India has come up with a new service called 'Let's Talk Mo', which aims to enable small and medium businesses to reach out to the 70 million mobile users in the country. With the Let's Talk Mo service, Google will help businesses create mobile sites for free.

Google+ Launches Tools for Businesses

Google is releasing on Wednesday a suite of business tools for Google+ users. The tools are available for free through the end of 2013, but users will then need a paid subscription to Google’s cloud-based software for businesses, Google Apps, for continued access.

Features:

Administrative controls : Administrators can set up company-wide sharing defaults for posts and Hangouts.

Hangout & Calendar integration : Since July, Google+ users have been able to organize Hangouts directly from Gmail, and open Google Docs documents during those meetings. Now, users can attach Hangouts to Google Calendar events, enabling attendees to join a Hangout directly from the Calendar entry or original invite (see below).

Dropbox Enables Two-Step Verification

Dropbox has begun to add a two-step verification for all its accounts, the file-hosting service announced on its forums. The process, which is optional but recommended by Dropbox, “adds an extra layer of protection” to accounts by requiring users to submit a six-digit security code in addition to their passwords whenever they sign in, or link a new computer, phone or tablet, the company says. The security code is sent to users’ phones via text message, or generated using a mobile authenticator app.

Dropbox first unveiled the new feature to its forum users, asking them to report their experiences.

The announcement comes just after Dropbox found that usernames and passwords stolen from other websites were used to sign in to a number of Dropbox accounts. In a blog entry posted late July, the cloud-based service said it would take steps to improve users’ security by unrolling “two-factor authentication,” which requires two proofs of identity when signing in.

YouTube Moodwall Helps You Find Videos by Vibe

According to The Guardian, the new YouTube tool features a series of video thumbnails belonging to different categories on the homepage of the video sharing networking website. These moods range from 'funny', 'cool' to 'adorable'. Clicking on one of these categories will direct users to an endless stream of videos that match to the particular feeling users are trying to discover. It's learnt that the new feature is only available for a few users.

There's no word on when Youtube will start rolling out this feature to all users. Moreover, it is unclear how Moodwall can be activated for one's account. “my browse page in youtube has been replaced with some weird page that calls itself moodwall. My homepage is still functional, as are the movies and upload tab, but this moodwall is this weird limited selection of a set of the same 15 videos (they were all posted around 2011),” says a user on Google's product forums.

Harvard Researchers Develop Ultrathin, Distortion-Free Lens

Harvard’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) has come up with a flat silicon-based lens that can focus light without any distortion or optical aberrations. The team of researchers at Harvard have developed an ultrathin (60 nanometer), flat lens, built out of silicon wafer and coated with nanometer-thin layers of gold.

These layers are partially stripped, leaving behind V-shaped structures or ‘nanoantennas’ for incoming light, capturing it and holding it before releasing it. This design avoids the phase delays that thicker, glass lenses are prone too, by phase shifting the light to the surface of the lens.

The gold-and-silicon lens creates a “perfect image” without any distortion, and can be used on more than just visible light – it works on frequencies ranging from near-infrared (with wavelengths just smaller than visible light) to the difficult to measure and modulate terahertz radiation (with wavelengths just larger than microwaves) or, EM radiation with wavelengths falling roughly between 2 microns and 1 millimetre. Adjusting the angle, spacing and size of the nanoantennas, or the ‘metasurface’ of the lens, will allow it to be tuned for different spectrums of radiation.

Twitter Could Face Closure in India Over Hate Pages

The government on Wednesday warned Twitter that the social networking website could face closure in India if it does not remove 28 web pages with objectionable content within the next 12 hours. The home ministry has asked the department of electronics and information technology (IT) to pass this directive to Twitter , which has steadfastly refused to block the 28 web pages whose removal was sought by the Indian government three days ago.

Facebook, too, said it will remove content, block pages or even disable accounts of those users who upload content that incite violence or perpetuate hate speech. Twitter has meanwhile promised to cooperate with the government after the Prime Minister's Office complained to it about objectionable content on six accounts resembling the PMO's official account. As the government blocked the six accounts after Twitter took no action, the social networking portal has communicated to the PMO that it would be locating the unlawful content.

Meanwhile, the US has said it is not part of the Indian probe that is looking into doctored images and videos being uploaded on the Internet by elements in Pakistan to create social unrest in the country. "The Indian government itself is investigating, so we're going to let that go forward," US State Department spokesperson Victoria Nuland said.

After 25 years Later Microsoft Rolls Out First New Logo

Microsoft unveiled a new corporate logo for the first time in 25 years, setting the stage for a wave of products designed to cast the world's largest software maker in a new light. By revamping its logo, Microsoft is trying to signal that it has changed its thinking and its products to cater to people who are interacting with technology much differently than just a decade ago, let alone a quarter century. The makeover unveiled on Thursday marks the first time that Microsoft Corp. has revamped its logo since February 1987.

Microsoft believes a radical change to Windows will ensure that the company survives the technological upheaval. Windows 8, due to hit the market on October 26, displays software applications in a mosaic of tiles and has been engineered so it works on both touch-based tablets and traditional PCs. The company also is releasing its own Windows 8-powered tablet to compete against the iPad.

The redesign features the Microsoft name in a lighter, straight font called Segoe to replace the italic bold type used in the old standby. The new logo also includes the familiar red, blue, yellow and green colors used in the flag on Microsoft's Windows operating system, but the colors will be in a square box instead of the curvy template that has been in place for years. Those colour boxes evoke the tiles that will be central to Windows 8.

This is Microsoft's fifth logo since Bill Gates and Paul Allen founded the company 37 years ago. When it last changed its logo in 1987, Microsoft had been a publicly traded company for less than a year and boasted a market value of about $2 billion. It peaked at more than $600 million in 1999. Now, Microsoft's market value stands at $254 billion - less than half of Apple's market value of $623 billion.

Apple vs. Samsung Verdict Is In: Apple Wins

The jury has reached a verdict in the Apple vs. Samsung patent trial taking pace in a San Jose, Calif. court. Apple succeeded in the majority of its claims against Samsung, with the jury awarding Apple more than $1 billion in damages and potentially banning several Samsung devices from the U.S. market. The jury validated almost all of Apple’s claims against Samsung, for many different smartphones and tablets, putting the South Korean electronics giant on the hook for $1.049 billion

Lawyers for both Apple and Samsung checked the form for any inconsistencies and found two. The jury awarded damages for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE but didn’t find it had infringed on any patents. Similarly, it awarded damages for the Intercept, but no infringement. The damages for those two products totaled about $2.2 million. Judge Lucy Koh sent the jury back to resolve those issues, and they returned saying those products didn’t infringe, negating those damages.

The jury rejected Samsung’s claim that some of Apple’s patents should be declared invalid. The jury also rejected Samsung’s counterclaims, declaring that Apple did not infringe on Samsung’s patents with the iPhone and the iPod Touch. Apple and Samsung both have post-trial motions, and will return to court Sept. 20 to hear them out.

The Wall Street Journal is offering free Wi-Fi to residents of New York City and San Francisco. The Wi-Fi network is available through more than 1,300 hotspots labeled “The Wall Street Journal Wi-Fi.” You won’t need a Wall Street Journal subscription to access the network, but you will need to create a free WSJ.com account or log in with your existing credentials.

The paper says the network covers approximately two-thirds of Manhattan, including Times Square, Union Square and the West Village, as well as some areas in Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx. San Franciscans will be able to log in at Washington Square, Nob Hill and Fisherman’s Wharf, among other neighborhoods.
It’s an unusual marketing move for a media company, but not a digital one. Companies like Google and Skype have offered free Wi-Fi on flights and in airports as a way to bolster sign-ups and collect marketing data.

Neil Armstrong, 1st Man on the Moon, Dead at 82

Neil Armstrong, the Apollo 11 astronaut who became the first human being to set foot on another world, has died. He was 82. In a statement his family said Armstrong had passed away following complications resulting from cardiovascular procedures.

The family described him as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, and also as "a reluctant American hero who always believed he was just doing his job." That's one small step for (a) man, one giant leap for mankind.

Armstrong underwent a heart-bypass surgery earlier this month, just two days after his birthday on August 5, to relieve blocked coronary arteries. As commander of the Apollo 11 mission, Armstrong became the first human to set foot on the moon on July 20, 1969. As he stepped on the moon's dusty surface, Armstrong said: "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind."

The Apollo 11 moon mission turned out to be Armstrong's last space flight. The following year he was appointed to a desk job, being named NASA's deputy associate administrator for aeronautics in the office of advanced research and technology. He left NASA a year later to become a professor of engineering at the University of Cincinnati.

Facebook Has 44% Fake Followers; Twitter Has 33%

44% of people who follow the @Facebook account on Twitter are — well, actually, they aren’t, according to an entertaining new app that checks out how many fakers you have in your following. The main @Twitter account doesn’t fare that much better; exactly a third of its followers are very likely spam bots.

Now there’s an online tool, created by London-based social media management firm StatusPeople, that sifts a sample of those who follow your Twitter handle for fake and inactive followers.

StatusPeople tool is constantly refining its sample for each account. But it is clear that large chunks of the following for major corporate accounts are fake. @Google and @YouTube, for example, are both in the 33% fake range.  Defining a fake or spam account isn’t an exact science, but here’s the guiding principle for StatusPeople’s algorithm: “Spam accounts tend to have few or no followers and few or no tweets,” the company writes. “But they tend to follow a lot of other accounts.”

The Internet a Decade Later

In 2002, when computers like the Apple iMac G4 were the sleekest on the market? Internet users were just starting to use high-speed broadband access, instead of that slow dial-up. Gone were the days of waiting. We could download a whole song in 10 minutes!

Fast forward to 2012: Computers are even more polished, and the Internet is faster. Ten years ago, Internet usage was more of a leisure — today, it’s practically as important as water or oxygen.

Soon We Can Watch 3D Movies Without the Glasses

The current system for 3D imaging is produced by projecting two images simultaneously on the same screen. When viewers wear 3D glasses, they’re able to see the two images as one, which then provides the appearance of a three dimensional figure. A new system is being developed that would only use one projector and not require glasses.

The new method requires a special coating on the screen to change the polarization of the light as it passes through. It’s the change in polarization that creates a 3D image. this new method is under testing.

Apple Is Now the Most Valuable Company in History

Apple‘s valuation reached $621.64 billion Monday morning, making it the most valuable company in history.
The company’s stock reached an all-time high of $664.65 per share early Monday afternoon, following strong sales projections for its as-yet-unannounced next-generation iPhone device, the iPhone 5.

The record was previously held by another U.S. technology company, Microsoft, at its height in 1999.
Apple became the most valuable company in the U.S. when it reached a $346.74 billion valuation in mid-2011, topping Exxon Mobil for the first time. It surpassed Microsoft’s market capitalization in 2010.

Apple setting a record valuation now is especially impressive given the passing of co-founder and CEO Steve Jobs in October as well as its relatively modest price-earnings ratio: 15.57. Amazon, by comparison, has a P/E of 291.73, and even Facebook’s beleaguered stock is still trading at a P/E of 68.51.

Facebook Finally Deleting Unwanted Photos From Servers

Facebook said this week that photos that users have deleted are quickly removed from Facebook profiles and newsfeeds, but if you happened to have a link to the deleted pic, that link stayed live for some time. An update to the Facebook network, however, has fixed the problem, a spokesman for the social network said.

"As a result of work on our policies and infrastructure we have instituted a 'max-age' of 30 days for our content distribution network (CDN) links," the spokesman said. "However, in some cases the content will expire on the CDN much more quickly, based on a number of factors."

"To be clear, the photos stop being shown to other users on Facebook immediately when the photo is first deleted by the user," he continued. "The 30 day window only applies to the cached images on the CDN."

iOS Flaw Facilitates iPhone SMS Spoofing

A French hacker known as pod2g has identified a text-based iOS glitch that allows scammers to spoof their identifies and make it look like text messages are coming from legitimate sources. In a Friday blog post, pod2g said he considers the flaw to be "severe" even though it doesn't involve code execution. It affects all versions of iOS, even the most recent beta of iOS 6. "Apple: please fix this before the final release," pod2g wrote.

At issue is a section of a text message payload known as User Data Header (UDH), which includes a number of advanced features. One of those features allows the user to change the reply address of the text. You can send a text from your iPhone, for example, but if the person replies, it'll get sent to your Galaxy S III .
When the option works correctly, pod2g said, the text message recipient will be able to see that they are responding to a different phone number. The recipient phone should either display the secondary number, or "in a good implementation of this feature," pod2g wrote, the original phone number and the new phone number.

"On iPhone, when you see the message, it seems to come from the reply-to number, and you [lose] track of the origin," according to pod2g.

10 Online Security Tips for Gen Y

According to our research, only 31% of Gen Y ranked security as the most important consideration when making decisions about their computer. In fact, Gen Y was more likely to prioritize entertainment and community than security. This is in spite of the fact that at least half indicated that they had computer security issues in the past two years.

1. Get Back to the Basics

It sounds simple, but regularly updating your computer’s operating system and software is one of the most important ways to protect it since updates are often how companies address a possible security issue. Plus, it’s not exactly hard. You can easily configure your operating system to automatically check for updates.

2. Don’t be Click Happy

Did you know that more than 9,500 malicious websites are detected by Google every single day? This stat includes legitimate sites that have been hijacked and those that are designed to spread malware. Stay safe by being wary of the links you click. And remember to hover over links so that you can review the full address before you click. Finally, always keep your two-way firewall and antivirus up-to-date and active.

3. Pay Attention to the Latest Social Changes

Small changes can cause big problems if you’re not careful. For example, Facebook changed your default email to @facebook.com. This means that a whole new group of marketers and spammers will be able to contact you much more easily than ever before. Whether you like this (or not), adjust your privacy settings to protect yourself from possible issues.

4. Passwords, Passwords, Passwords

Always create strong passwords for online accounts, and include letters, numbers, and symbols. Longer passwords (at least 8-10 characters) are more secure and help prevent brute force attacks. And try not to use the same password for multiple sites. If a password gets compromised on one site, it may allow hackers to log into other accounts with the same credentials. If you’re having trouble remembering all your passwords, try using an online password manager, such as LastPass. Alternatively, you can also keep track by setting up a simple spreadsheet. Instead of recording the actual password, type out a hint. Just be sure to password protect the document.

5. Gamers, Keep Security Software On

Don’t disable your security software when gaming. Yes, experiencing a high-speed connection with minimal interruptions is important, but not at the expense of security. Instead, look for “game mode” in your security software. This setting will never interrupt you while you’re in the middle of your game. It will also keep you protected.

6. Protect Against P2P and Pirated Software

The best solution is to simply never use P2P sites to download pirated software and, instead, download your files from the original software developer. If you still choose to take that risk, you should at least take a few precautions, like reading the user comments before you download the file. Keep in mind that many of today’s popular P2P sites offer a pretty accurate rating system that can provide you with a sense of just how these downloadable files have performed for other users.

7. Beware of Social Engineering Attacks

Cyber criminals scour social media sites all the time to learn all they can about potential targets. They’ll use the information they gather to send you highly-targeted emails, pretending to be from your boss, friend, or family member. Did you post information on Facebook about your favorite vacation spot only to receive an email from a co-worker about the best summer getaways, complete with a request to link to a recent article? That’s not a good sign. It’s also why you should always watch what you say online. Revealing too much information like a middle name or a pet name could be just enough to tip off a cyber criminal.

8. Choose Your Friends Carefully

There’s nothing like making connections online via Facebook and other social networks. However, you definitely put yourself at risk by not taking the time to filter who you accept into your inner circle. If you get a friend request from someone you haven’t spoken to in years or someone you don’t know, a social bot may be using this as an opportunity to hack into your network. They could exploit the trust you have built on Facebook and Twitter to send emails or notifications to your networks, using your access, information, and persona to solicit products and spread malware to others’ computers.

9. Take Care When Downloading Videos

Online video has really taken off, especially for Gen Y who often spends more time watching videos online than any other group. Be careful when downloading videos, as this activity could be a hotbed for viruses. If you don’t have the most up-to-date video player, download it directly from a trustworthy source. Never install software from file-sharing sites when trying to view a video, and keep in mind that downloading a video by itself should never require running an executable (.exe) file.

10. Be Cautious When Using Wi-Fi Hotspots

Most people are thrilled when they encounter free Wi-Fi hotspots. Before you connect, verify that the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) is from a legitimate service. Do not connect to random, unsecured Wi-Fi networks. It increases your risk. And use a Virtual Private Network, if you can. A VPN allows you to route all your activity through a separate, secure, private network, even if you’re on a public one. Several services are available, or you can even go with an app like Hotspot Shield, which sets a VPN up for you automatically.

Facebook, Twitter in Focus After Rumours Over Northeast People

In the wake of rumours which have created panic among people from Northeast, social media like Facebook and Twitter on Friday came under sharp focus in Parliament with demands for putting control on the networking sites.

Members in both Houses of Parliament alleged that the social networking sites were being used to spread wrong, distorted and provocative content.

Kunal Kumar Ghosh (Trinamool) said in the Rajya Sabha that the social networking sites were largely responsible for creating a situation of panic in parts of the country following the Assam incident.

Northeast exodus: Bulk SMS, MMS banned for 15 days.

Connectify Combines All Your Internet Networks Into One

A company called Connectify plans to make this possible with software called Connectify Dispatch that routes your computer’s data demands over numerous connections simultaneously.

The Philadelphia-based company already offers software called Connectify Hotspot. It lets a Windows PC act as a Wi-Fi hotspot for several devices. A free version allows users to share Wi-Fi connections with others while a $30 “pro” version enables the ability to share 3G and 4G connections.

Connectify is trying to raise $50,000 via the crowdfunding website Kickstarter to help it develop a commercial version of Dispatch for Windows PCs. After about a week and with roughly three weeks left to fundraise, they’re a little less than a third of the way there. Gizis says a group of existing customers are testing a prototype of Dispatch in a private beta test.

Normally, when you want to access the Internet on a computer, you first choose a single network, or the computer automatically chooses one based on past usage or the quality of the network. But Gizis says that with Dispatch running, whenever any program on your computer attempts to connect to the Internet, the software jumps in and determines which combination of Internet connections would be the best for this particular program. It does this by looking at factors like how fast, how busy and how reliable each one is — constantly scoring your different connections. When you load a given web page in your browser, for example, it might be making a dozen requests to different sites to bring up text, photos and ads. Dispatch could load a site more quickly by sending data through multiple Internet connections.

Those who donate at least $40 to Connectify’s Kickstarter project will get a license for Dispatch, plus a yearlong “pro” license for Connectify’s Hotspot software. If the campaign fails, Gizis says, Connectify will then evaluate whether moving forward is worth it — he says he doesn’t want to spend years supporting just a handful of users.

How to Choose the Right Blu-ray Player

With a seemingly endless number of Blu-ray players on the market these days, you’d think it should be simple to pick one out — they all play Blu-ray movies, and that’s the whole point.

Connecting to the Internet

Connecting your Blu-ray player to the web may seem a bit odd, but doing so gives you some pretty neat options. Along with a high-speed Internet connection such as DSL or cable, you will need a router of some sort. If you aren’t sure if you have a router or what it is capable of, call your Internet provider or head into your local electronics store and speak with a sales associate.

There are two ways to go about connecting your Blu-ray player to the Internet: via a standard network cable or your home wireless network. Many Blu-ray players can connect with a network cable, but not all can connect wirelessly — a feature that usually costs a bit more. Connecting your Blu-ray player to the web lets you easily update its software, access additional online content on certain Blu-ray discs and use streaming applications.

Streaming Applications for Blu-ray

Certain mid- and high-end Blu-ray players let you stream some of your favorite online content from services such as Pandora, Netflix and YouTube directly to your TV. You will need accounts with these services to use many of their applications, and some (such as Netflix) require a subscription.

The benefit of having these applications on your Blu-ray player is twofold: You can enjoy some of your favorite Internet streaming options on a much larger screen than your desktop or laptop, and you can control it all from one device.

Digital Bracelet Detects If Staff Need to Wash Their Hands or Not

Israeli startup company Hyginex has developed a simple system to reduce healthcare risks around hospitals and medical practices. The company has created digital bracelets that work alongside sensor-embedded soap dispensers to detect if the user has washed their hands properly.

The non-intrusive bracelet has a tiny red LED light to also remind the medical practitioner to wash their hands between patients.

The technology works via a wireless connection and the hygiene regime is tracked and passed on to hospital managers. According to the CDC, poor hand hygiene lead to infections that are responsible for more than 90,000 deaths per year in the U.S., a cost of more than $30 billion.

Study Says : Popularity of Tablets Rising With Kids

This new survey released by market research company, The NPD Group titled Kids and Consumer Electronics: 2012 Edition, shows new trends and stats for families and their mobile devices.

“Kids are using tablets to game, watch movies and TV shows, read books and listen to music-even occasionally for taking pictures- so they have embraced the utility of these devices quite rapidly,” Russ Crupnick, senior vice president, industry analysis, The NPD Group said in a statement. “Older kids also use the tablets for social media and communication, which squarely places these devices at the center for discovery and evangelism of new services and applications, as well as for brands and entertainment of all sorts.”

Portable digital music players (like the iPod) have declined in popularity this past year. Just 35% of households contacted for this survey own those devices, compared to 48% in 2011. Attention advertisers: Gaming systems and portable entertainment devices topped the list of devices over which children will have the most influence on future device selection.

The online survey was conducted March 6-21, 2012, to a representative sample of 3,235 male and female adults ages 23 and over whom are members of NPD’s online panel and have children ages 4 to 14 in the household.

Julian Assange to be Granted Asylum

An Ecuadorian official who has been described as “familiar with government discussions” told The Guardian that Ecuador’s government will approve Assange’s request for asylum. It remains unknown, however, if he will be allowed a path to reach Ecuador from the country’s embassy in London, where he’s been living since mid-June.

Government sources also told The Guardian that Ecuador’s offer of asylum was extended to Assange months ago, before he sought safe harbor at the Ecuadorian embassy. Assange is facing extradition from the United Kingdom to Sweden, where he’s wanted by prosecutors to answer questions regarding allegations of sexual misconduct. Assange believes the charges against him have been trumped up as part of a United States-backed plan to get him to a U.S. court to face still-unannounced charges related to WikiLeaks’ release of classified American diplomatic cables.

WikiLeaks only recently came back online after a more than week of being knocked offline by cyberattacks.

UPDATE: According to BNO News, Ecuador’s Foreign Ministry has not yet made a decision about Assange:  "Ecuador Foreign Ministry says it has not yet made a decision regarding Assange asylum request".

Pinterest Finally Comes To Android, iPad

Well, the wait for Android fans ended on Tuesday. Pinterest officially launched an app for Android as well as iPad, and also launched an updated version of its iPhone app. Announced at a summer party at Pinterest’s new San Francisco headquarters, the Android app represents a complete redesign of the app from the ground up, this time designed specifically for Android.

The app has been in the works for some time, and was even rumored to be coming late last month at Google’s I/O developers conference.

In May, Pinterest raised $100 million in a round of funding that values the company at $1.5 billion. Originally an invite-only service, on Aug. 8 Pinterest went public for everyone without an invitation. Pinterest for Android is available now from Google Play. Pinterest for iPad and the updated iPhone app are also available now from the App Store.

Future of the URL and Cybercrime

The Tech Innovators Series is presented by Lenovo. Lenovo does not just manufacture technology. They make Do machines -- super-powered creation engines designed to help the people who do, do more, do better, do in brand new ways.

For more than a decade, Verisign, Inc. — the registry operator for .com, .net and other top-level domains (TLDs) — has been connecting people to the websites that shape the world.
This means every time you type a .com or .net web address into your browser, it sends a “query” to Verisign’s servers to locate the website’s Internet address and enables your computer to connect to the site. It also provides security and network availability to keep sites online even during peak traffic conditions and large cyber attacks.
