Tata Communications has introduced a new video conferencing application called Jamvee. The new app allows as many as 46 users to join a common session across multiple devices, including laptop, tablet and smartphone.

Jamvee(TM) is an excellent tool to conduct productive and collaborative video meetings with clients who are based at multiple locations across continents. The ease of using video services on the move and on any device or platform, makes Jamvee highly preferred by global users" says Mandar Marulkar, Head of IT, KPIT Cummins.

Jamvee will be available as a paid application for video-conferencing on Tata's network. The application supports devices running Windows and Apple's Mac and iOS. Tata Communications plans to roll out the application for Google's Android platform by August this year. Users of Microsoft Lync and other video conferencing software, including those with access to standard video conferencing, can also join Jamvee.

Users need to access host and participant PINs on the Jamvee portal and send the participant PINs to people they want to interact with. Those taking part in the session needs to dial the same number (or in the case of the Jamvee app, press the 'Join Conference' button) and enter their PIN to join the meeting.
