At Nokia World in Abu Dhabi, Nokia lifted the veil from its first tablet venture. Christened the 2520, the device runs on Windows 8.1 RT and will be available in a bunch of colours including cyan, red, white, and black.
It has 32GB built-in storage with a 32GB expansion option via a microSD card. It also supports LTE connectivity. It measures 8.9mm in thickness and weighs 615 grams. The Lumia 2520 has a headphones jack, micro HDMI out, USB 3.0, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and NFC. The device will be priced at $499 (Rs. 30,750 approx.) and is expected to ship in Q4 in the US. It also has a Surface like keyboard accessory available for $149 (Rs. 9,200 approx.).
Nokia claims that the Lumia 2520 will give users a battery life of 11 hours. The keyboard accessory will give users two additional USB ports along with five more hours of battery life. The keyboard accessory for the 2520 is clunkier when compared to the one available for the Surface tablets from Microsoft.
