Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is a hybrid between smartphone and tablet. It is a sequel to the popular Samsung Galaxy Note . The phone sports a 5.5"Super AMOLED touch screen display and runs on Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich. The phone is expected to arrive in India in late 2012.

Design and Specifications

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is a hybrid between a smartphone and a tablet. The phone features a 5.5" Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen. The phone runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS and features the new Touchwiz Nature UI of the Samsung. The phone is powered by a 1.6 GHz quad core Exynos 4420 ARM processor with 2GB RAM.

Camera and Multimedia

The phone sports a 8MP camera with auto-focus and LED flash. The camera has features such as geo-tagging, Simultaneous HD video and image recording, face and smile detection, touch focus and image stabilization. The phone allows play back of music in popular formats such as MP3, WAV, eAAC+, AC3 and FLAC. You can watch movies and videos in popular formats such as MP4, DivX, XviD, WMV, H.264 and H.263.

Connectivity and Features

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 runs on quad band 2G, quad band 3G as well as 4G LTE networks. The phone connects to the internet using GPRS, EDGE, 3G and Wifi networks. The phone comes with Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and micro USB 2.0 for catering to other connectivity needs. The phone comes with a new S-pen with a rubberized Tip. In addition the phone has features such as Pop out play, Pop out Note, and even lets you capture screen shots of the activity on the phone.

Battery and Storage

The phone has a 2100 mAH battery that provides up to 21 hours of talk time in 2G and 12 hours in 3G. The phone will come with 16GB or 32 GB internal memory which can be further expanded via micro SD card to up to 32 GB.
