The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update brings a host of new improvements, including a better user interface, expandable notifications, better camera and voice search and improved accessibility among other updates. The company has confirmed the update will be available for S III users in October but did not disclose an exact date.
According to the Samsung representative, the Jelly Bean has been confirmed for the European market and not the U.S. The rep further explains the procedure for rolling out new software will vary region to region.
The confirmation for the Android Jelly Bean update comes months after reports that the company was testing the OS for its new flagship smartphones Galaxy S III and Galaxy S II. It was then speculated that the update would be released by September this year. To know more, read our previous coverage.
