Microsoft has announced the launch of
its Office 365 suite for businesses in India. The Microsoft Office 365
would be available for $6-22 (roughly Rs. 330 to 1,200) per user per
month. The company allows installation of the software on up to five
devices for a single user the Office 365 licencing.
The next-generation Office 365
productivity suite is meant to work across multiple devices using cloud
computing technology. Office 365 features the Office suite (Word,
PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Access, InfoPath and Publisher),
Project and Visio. In addition, Office 365 includes the updated
Microsoft Lync Online, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online and the new

Microsoft
highlights its Office 365 productivity suite has seen a massive growth
since its launch in mid-2011. “After only 18 months, one in five of
Microsoft’s enterprise customers worldwide use the paid service, up from
one in seven a year ago. The number of small and medium-sized
businesses using Office 365 around the world has also grown by over 150%
in the last 12 months,” says the company.
While launching the new productivity
suite, the company also revealed its list of first Office 365 customers
including Lupin, Godrej Group, Tata Communications and AEGON Religare. Customers can purchase the Office 365
directly from Microsoft online or through an authorized retail outlet or
