HP has announced a slew of new devices for the Indian market. The product line-up includes 2-in-1 notebooks, business-friendly tablets, All-in-One PCs and a business desktop PC. With the new EliteBook Folio 1040 G1, HP claims to have built a notebook 16.1 percent thinner and 7.3 percent lighter than the previous generation. Along with a sleek body, the device has undergone several military-grade tests for reliability and durability. It is now available for Rs 90,000. It runs on Intel’s 4th generation Haswell-based Core processor, so performance will right there among the best.

Next up is the HP Pro x2 410, which has been designed to offer flexibility of a tablet and the productivity of a notebook in one form factor, says HP. It has been designed keeping IT manager requirements in mind, so comes with all device management tools one would expect in a business environment. The Pro X2 comes with 4th-generation Intel Core i3/i5 processors and will get HP’s signature Beats Audio technology, along with a multi-touch capacitive HD display. The HP Pro x2 410 is available now starting at Rs 65,000.



Priced slightly lower at Rs 36,500, the HP 248 notebook aims at increasing productivity of the workforce. It gets HP 3D DriveGuard to protect data against falls and accidents. HP has also redesigned and upgraded the HP ElitePad 1000 that now comes with a brighter and more durable touch screen with a 16:10 screen-aspect ratio, 4G connectivity and 64-bit capabilities and HP Smart Jacket accessory ecosystem. The ElitePad 1000 is priced at Rs 59,990. Both machines feature Intel’s fourth-gen Core processors.

The next in the lineup is the HP Omni 10, priced at Rs 27,990. It’s designed for productivity on-the-go and features a touch screen. HP is touting its long battery life, though has not revealed any numbers. Powered by Intel’s Atom Z3000 processor, it runs on Windows 8.1, so you are getting the latest version of the OS.

HP has also unveiled Windows–powered desktops. The HP EliteDesk 800 G1 Business Desktop Mini and 205 AiO complete the PC line-up. EliteDesk 800 G1 Business focuses on power efficiency, enterprise security and device manageability solutions. It is priced at Rs 41,990. The 800 G1 includes Intel Shark Bay Q87 chipset and 4th Generation Core processor, Intel vPro capabilities, and is built to pass Mil-STD 810G testing along with HP’s Total Test Process. All in all, it’s a well-kitted solution for the workplace.


The 205 AiO is available for a price of Rs 31,990. This is powered by AMD APUs and features integrated Radeon HD 8240 graphics solution. Buyers can choose up to 1TB of storage and all 205 machines come with a 7-in-1 card reader, and a SuperMulti DVD drive.

The Z27x DreamColor Display features HP’s hostless integrated calibration engine with built-in support for third-party professional color measurement instrument. The 27-inches monitor with 10-bit colour drives up to 1.07 billion onscreen colours and is priced at Rs 1,07,163. Needless to say, this is targetted at professionals who may require a high-end display for graphics or video editing work.
