Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai launched
the MEAIndia app at a recent event and stated that the app provides a
one-stop-shop to all you need to know. It acts as a single window source
of all information related to Ministry's citizen centric services and
outreach activities.
The app offers a wide range of passport
related services like locating the nearest passport office, tracking the
passport application and downloading forms. Users can known more about
Haj services flight and accommodation details and get information about
visa and document attestation related issues.
Ministry of External Affairs had also launched the 'mPassport Seva'
Android app earlier this year. The app provides complete information
about all your passport queries, documentation and application status.
The mPassport Seva app will be adding the facility to apply for
passports via their Android phones soon. The app has a portal where users can
also pose a query directly to the external affairs minister. It gives
information about Indian missions abroad option and a Parliament related
section that lists all the questions raised in Lok Sabha and Rajya
Sabha. The page also has a some interesting facts about where the Prime
Minister and External Affairs Minister have toured during their tenure.
