The Sony Xperia Z1 aka Xperia i1 Honami,
has made another appearance on the web ahead of the official
announcement. An alleged press image of the smartphone reveals the
multiple colours – black, white and purple. The smartphone looks very
similar to Sony's flagship Z smartphone, except for the metallic frame
around it.
The Sony Xperia Z1 is believed to be the
company's next flagship Android smartphone. The Z1, erstwhile known as
Honami, has leaked quite a few times in the recent times. The benchmark scores of the Z1 had leaked online, revealing AnTuTu score of 30,625. Also, an alleged teaser smartphone had surfaced, hinting at the purple version of the phone and the official release date. There's an LED flash next to the camera – single-LED and no xenon as
early rumors indicated. We guess the Xperia Z1 will rely on its
relatively big 1/2.3" sensor for low-light photography. It's about 70%
bigger than most smartphone camera sensors used at the moment. And at
20.7MP resolution, the pixels will still be bigger than the ones in
current 13MP phones.
The smartphone is said to feature a
5.0-inch full HD display and powered by a quad-core 2.2GHz Qualcomm
Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and 20MP camera. The Xperia Z1 is
likely to be announced officially at an event in Berlin on September 4.
