Foxconn has announced its tie up with
Mozilla to develop tablets based on Firefox OS. Taiwan-based chipmaker
VIA Technologies will be joining the project according to a press
release. Foxconn will provide expertise in
developing hardware platforms for the tablets while Mozilla will provide
the OS, development guides and OS upgrades for the tablets.
Asa Dotzler, Mozilla's director of

hardware available before the software is final to make it possible for
contributors around the world to help us complete the build of Firefox
