Samsung Electronics has unveiled a
'Smart Home' service at the CES 2014 event in Las Vegas. The new service
gives a single integrated platform to connect and manage your Smart
TVs, home appliances and smartphones. The Smart Home service will be
commercially rolled out for Samsung appliances and devices in the first
half of 2014.
Samsung Smart Home service will enable
users to manage and control their home devices through a single
application. The service will offer three main services that will allow
users to connect with their devices from anywhere including Home view,
Device Control and Smart Customer service. The application will connect
Home and personal devices including Smart TVs, refrigerators, washing
machines to digital cameras, smartphones and even its GALAXY Gear
smartwatch.
The device control will offer users customized settings on their devices to monitor and control home devices from anywhere. The home view allows users get real-time views of the home via built-in camera in appliances, and the smart customer service feature offers customers assistance in after sales servicing and notifies users about their appliance's servicing requirements.
